Prati
A real neighbourhood,not a postcard.
Late-19th-century buildings, broad pavements and the morning queue at the coffee bar. Romans live and shop here: cafés, trattorias and the shop windows of Via Cola di Rienzo stay lively after visitors have moved elsewhere.
And the rest of Rome is across the bridge. The Vatican, Castel Sant’Angelo and the historic centre are all within walking distance, with no metro or taxi needed.
